A “Whale” of a Story

This is actually a very short story. But it’s true. So ever since I saw the Vineyard Vines Whale logo, I fell in love. Not like Love-Love, but just like, I think the whale is super cute! And I always thought he would make an adorable cookie. I always wanted to write to Vineyard Vines and tell them that they seriously needed to consider doing a “whale” cookie cutter in honor of their logo. I’d like to think that I wouldn’t be the only one that would buy it???

So one day my friend and I were at an upscale mall and we walked through Vineyard Vines, loving about a million things in there, but leaving empty-handed. As we walked past the storefront I pointed to the VV Whale and said, “I want to make a cookie out of him!”

Yes she rolled her eyes. She sighed enough air to puff up her bangs. She stared at me. But I’m used to this reaction so it didn’t phase me. When I asked her if the whale would make a cute cookie, she finally had to admit she agreed. End of story. (Humdinger, huh?).

So check out my take on the VV whale logo. I did it in nude colors because that is what I had on hand. But this would look even better done in the bright pink and navy outline.
