The Gingham Effect

I am a bit compulsive about my love for gingham anything. There is something about the pattern I just love. So much so that I have a tendency to take that pattern and put it onto my sugar cookies. Sometimes I achieve this 2 ways. Either through airbrushing or through water-painting. I am a fan of both techniques and will post how to do both someday. But I just wanted share this as another technique to jazz up the background of a sugar cookie.

Using a gingham pattern as a background on a relatively simple designed cookie can add visual interest to a cookie with very little extra work. Consider adding this or other patterns to your next sugar cookie.
